MTN connects Gauteng through Walk the Talk

Entries for this year’s 702 Walk the Talk are officially open, and the event promises to be better than ever with a new sponsor, MTN.

MTN, is a global communications partner and world-class cellular network that is focused on the African continent. The telecommunications service provider believes in connecting people, and that’s exactly what the Walk the Talk event is all about.

“702 is proud to partner with MTN, as both brands regard connecting people as one of their key objectives,” says 702 station manager Thabisile Mbete. “The Walk the Talk event provides a platform for people from all walks of life to come together peacefully, united in their diversity, for a family fun day out.”

The MTN Walk the Talk with 702 event caters to walkers of all fitness levels and abilities – there’s a 15km walk which winds through some of Joburg’s iconic landmarks, an 8km walk which goes through the leafy suburbs around Emmerentia, and a 5km walk which attracts a lot of families walking with kids, prams, gran and gramps, and even the family dog.

Many walkers use the event as a platform to raise awareness for great causes and come together in vibrant costumes or matching outfits. Others use it for a teambuilder for colleagues and friends.

The fun’s not over when everyone has crossed the finish line and received their medal – as walkers will be treated to live music from some of SA’s best loved groups. There’s also a range of hospitality or public catering options to ensure energy is replenished after the walk.Enter now to avoid disappointment. Entries fill up fast and there are only 50 000 spaces available.
