Vitality members, get rewarded for walking

It’s finally happened. It’s been a long time coming but you can now get fitness points when you complete the 18th edition of the MTN Walk the Talk with 702.

Now, you can walk, be healthier and get rewarded for it.

Are you a vitality member? If you've answered, yes – you're on your way to earning those points.

The Vitality points awarded for all our walkers are as follows:

  • 5km/8km = 300 points
  • 15km = 600 points
  • 25km = 1500 points

How are the points awarded?

Points are allocated to all those who walk the Walk the Talk on Sunday, 28 July and selected to get a certificate of completion.

What is a certificate of completion?

It is a form of timing chip that will be attached to the back of your walk number, indicating that you have walked and completed the Walk the Talk. The timing chip will be available for purchase online at just R14. You'll need to complete and pay for your entry by Friday, 7 June to be eligible for selection. No actual time will be provided, only a confirmation of completion. Check out the T’s and C’s.

How to get a certificate of completion?

It’s pretty simple, really. When you enter to participate in the MTN Walk the Talk with 702, you’ll get to choose from the 5km, 8km, 15km or 25km. Once completed, select the option to get a certificate of completion.

How are the points claimed?

All finishers who select the option will be able to submit the certificate of completion for Walk the Talk, along with the distance they walked, in order to claim points or other fitness incentive programmes offered by insurers.

It’s a great step to ensuring that all our walkers get rewarded for their efforts when taking part in the 5km, 8km, 15km or 25km.
