Entrants are required collect their Walk Pack from Number Collection at Marks Park Sports Club, Emmarentia:

All pre-ordered merchandise must be collected at the Merchandise Store at Number Collection.

Where does the MTN Walk the Talk with 702 start and finish?

The walk starts on Judith road at the intersection of Hill street in Emmarentia. The finish is on the Marks Park Sports Club grounds.

Is the Walk timed?

No, there will be no timing for any of the walks

Where is my entry fee going?

The entry fee goes some way to cover the costs of putting walkers onto the route. The Legacy (charity projects) that the event supports each year are also benefitted by the walk entry fees. The Legacy projects intended to create or improve public facilities that encourage activity and have historically been installed in the suburbs whose residents are directly affected by the 3 walks – as a gesture to thank them for the disruption and event of this nature does cause.

Are dogs allowed to walk?

Dogs are allowed on the 5km and 8km walks only, only 2 dogs are allowed per walker. We will have dog waterpoints along the route and a roaming mobile vet

Is there parking at the venue?

There is safe and free parking at the Johannesburg Botanical Gardens on Thomas Bowler road.
There is also corporate bus parking at the Rooseveldt Park High School on Thomas Bowler road.

How do I book Park and Ride?

Book your Park and Ride ticket on www.walkthetalk.co.za Park and Ride tickets are per person (children under 2 years old are free)

Where do I park to use the Park and Ride facilities?

Clearwater Mall: Park undercover at Entrance 1 (off Christiaan de Wet Rd opposite Makro). Busses depart from tenant parking.
Eastgate Shopping Centre: Park undercover on Mezzanine Level in East Park 3. Bus departure point at Shell Garage.
Expo Centre Nasrec: Cnr Nasrec & Rand Show Rd. Park between Gate 8 and 9. Follow signage to departure point.
Heathway Shopping Centre: Park undercover (Cnr of Beyers Naude Naude and Castle Hill Drive). Busses depart from opposite Cash Converters.
Melrose Arch: Travelling from the M1 on Corlett Drive turn left into Melrose Boulevard, at the 2nd robot turn right into the basement parking. Bus departure point on corner of Melrose Boulevard and Crescent Drive.
Montecasino: Enter at Casino Entrance on Montecasino Blvd and park on level 4. Busses depart from Palazzo Circle.
Sandton: On Sandton Drive coming from William Nicol Drive, turn left into Rivonia Road and then left into the Protea Court parking in Sandton City, park on Sandton City roof (Exit via Entrance 29). Bus departs from cnr of Rivonia Rd and West St.
University of Johannesburg (Auckland Park Campus): Park at First Years parking on Kingsway (Auckland Park Campus). Busses depart at bottom of parking area.
