When is the MTN Walk the Talk with 702?

The MTN Walk the Talk with 702 will take place on Sunday the 23rd of July 2017

Where is the venue of the Walk the Talk?

Marks Park Sports Club which is on Judith Road, Emmarentia

Which distances are available to choose from?

5km, 8km and 15km walks

What are the entry fees for the different distances?

5km – R 170.00
8km – R 170.00
15km – R 190.00
Under 12yrs and over 60 yrs. – R150.00 for all distances

When do entries close?

Team entries have closed, but MULTI and INDIVIDUAL ENTRIES will be accepted until our entry capacity has been reached.

What is the age limit for the walk?

5km – no age limit
8km – no age limit
15km – 14 years and above

Where does the MTN Walk the Talk with 702 start and finish?

The walk starts on Judith road at the intersection of Hill street in Emmarentia. The finish is on the Marks Park Sports Club grounds.

What time does the walk start?

15km – 07:00
8km – 09:00
5km – 11:00

Is the Walk timed?

No, there will be no timing for any of the walks

Can we enter as a team?

Yes, but team entries have unfortunately closed.MULTI and INDIVIDUAL ENTRIES will be accepted until our entry capacity has been reached.

Do you have to qualify to enter the 702 Walk the Talk?

No, you do not need to qualify. Anyone can walk, young or old. Prams and dogs are also allowed on the 5km and 8km routes.

How can I pay for my entry?

Payment can be done online www.walkthetalk.co.za by credit card or by eft/bank deposit When paying by eft / bank deposit please use your id number as a reference and fax or email to us at walkthetalk@702.co.za

How will I know if you have received my entry?

Once your entry is captured you will receive a confirmation email to confirm that you are entered and paid. An entry without payment is invalid

How long do I have to make payment?

You need to pay asap because an entry without payment is invalid. We only accept the first 50 000 paid entries

I have entered and paid, now what?

Once the entries are closed you will receive an email or sms with your walk number and the dates and times that you can collect your number.

Where is my entry fee going?

The entry fee goes some way to cover the costs of putting walkers onto the route. The Legacy (charity projects) that the event supports each year are also benefitted by the walk entry fees. The Legacy projects intended to create or improve public facilities that encourage activity and have historically been installed in the suburbs whose residents are directly affected by the 3 walks – as a gesture to thank them for the disruption and event of this nature does cause.

Are dogs allowed to walk?

Dogs are allowed on the 5km and 8km walks only, only 2 dogs are allowed per walker. We will have dog waterpoints along the route and a roaming mobile vet
